111 Community Center
Promise Recieved
For several months it seemed every where Mark looked he saw the number "111" At a discipleship meeting a young man approached us with a word. He said "God told me to give you the numbers 111 and say the meaning is extreme provision". He felt it so strong he went to the ATM and brought back an envelope with 111 euro. He said "I want to be the first to sow into what God is doing"
Promise Clarification
A short time latter someone showed us a building located next to the Sečovce Roma camp where we had been praying for a place to meet. It was the perfect location and facility. But the price was "out of our comfort zone." Latter that day we felt a strong impression to look again at the papers we were given. We discovered the name and address on the document was "111 Community Center"
Grabbing the Promise
This center has a meeting hall for up to 200 people, a six room home complete with industrial kitchen and sanitation facilities and a huge fenced yard.
After consulting with our parters, and immediately receiving some firm commitments, we entered into a purchase contract. We took possession in February of 2019 and have until August 2020 to raise the funds needed to complete the purchase.
Taking the Land
From our first service (pictured here) until today, this building has been a blessing. We have had regional conferences, pastors training, children's crusades, and much more. Future plans involve summer camps for children and youth, Bible School and accommodations for raising up leaders and generally a base for blessing the Roma Community.
The Final Challenge
From this facility we can serve the Roma community of Sečovce where over 3000 inhabitants have no garbage service, water or sewer. Families use one public pump from which they are allowed to take a limited amount of water.
Large families live in small shacks and struggle to feed and care for their families.
Our facility provides the place - but we need people.
